Camp rock beats vamp rock.
In a first-week battle of young-skewing phenoms, the latest compilation of music from Fox’s breakout hit “Glee”
rather surprisingly topped the “Eclipse” soundtrack, with the former racing past prognostications.
The six-song EP “Glee: The Music — Journey to Regionals” moved 152,000 units
according to Nielsen SoundScan, compared with 144,000 for the latest “Twilight”sequel,
which came in near the low end of expectations.
Meanwhile,Christina Aguilera’s fourth English-language studio album,“Bionic”
bows at No.3 with 110,000 units.
Her 2006 double-disc set “Back to Basics” opened at No.1 with 346,000.
